Functional polymorphism rs1024611 in the MCP1 gene is associated with the risk of varicose veins of lower extremities

Genotyping of polymorphism rs1024611 in the MCP1 gene can be useful in identifying individuals genetically predisposed to PVVs of lower extremities. However, this is the first study showing this relationship. Additional studies are needed to replicate our findings in different ethnic groups.
