Nonsebaceous lymphadenoma of the sublingual gland: A case report and literature review

Nonsebaceous lymphadenoma is a rare benign salivary gland neoplasm. Cases usually present as painless masses in the parotid gland. Herein, we report the first case of nonsebaceous lymphadenoma of the sublingual gland on the floor of mouth. A 42-year-old woman presented with a painless 3 cm mass on the right side of the floor of the mouth. A biopsy was suggestive of nonsebaceous lymphadenoma of the sublingual gland. Subsequently, right tumor resection of the sublingual glands was performed, which revealed nonsebaceous lymphadenoma. The rarity of this tumor and its superficial resemblance to more common salivary gland neoplasms may present a diagnostic issue during the preoperative period.
