Uniqueness of orientation-preserving free actions of finite abelian groups on surfaces

Let G be a finite abelian group. We list all the cases where the topological equivalence class of orientation-preserving free G-actions on a closed surface is unique. Moreover, we obtain the classification of topological equivalence classes of orientation-preserving free actions of finite abelian groups of rank 2.
