Regulation of Yes-Associated Protein by Laminar Flow

Flow causes a decrease in pYAP. The observed decrease in total YAP levels with pulsatile flow is due to degradation via a proteasome-independent mechanism. This may be a potential target for intervention for disease states such as atherosclerosis and intimal hyperplasia.
