Amniotic fluid volume

After a brief introduction concerning the physiology of amniotic fluid circulation, the different methods of volume estimation (eyeballing, maximum vertical depth, amniotic fluid index) are discussed. We conclude with the work-up in cases of oligo- and polyhydramnios.
