Distribution of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) in the general population

Prevalence of pelvic organ prolapse in the general population is unknown. Also the relation between pelvic organ prolapse and function of the pelvic floor musculature is not clear. In a large cross-sectional study research has been done on this topic.
