The relationship in hip fracture patients of post-operative days to initial rehabilitation activities and their ambulatory ability on post-operative day 20

It was found that 5 times more patients who had started bearing weight on post-operative day 7 or earlier could walk independently on post-operative day 20 compared to those patients who had not, after adjusting for patient factors. It can be said that patients who are in a good general condition can recover ambulatory ability earlier if they start bearing weight and have ambulation training on post-operative day 7 or earlier.
