La problématique de la supplémentation nutritionnelle orale et de l'acte diététique en ville

Which professions fight for the malnutrition? Which professions involve the care of oral supplementation at home? Official rules are defined by. One French official publication presents a short list which allows only certain malnutrition patients use oral supplements. I hope in the future most of the malnutrition patients can benefit from the oral supplements. And at the same time, no nutritional assessment by a dietician is recommended for malnutrition patients. Where can we find dieticians facilitate optimal patient feeding? We can find them in an out patient consultation at hospital, or in a home care visit by a private dietician. In an other hand, the official rules consider that a tube feeding at home needs to obtain a nutritional status assessment. This study indicates that in order to prevent and reduce malnutrition, it is important and essential to have a dietician participate.
