Vaginitis por Trichomonas

Vaginal trichomoniasis is one of the most frequent sexual transmission infections. Its clinical manifestations, although suggestive, are not sufficiently specific or sensitive to permit an adequate diagnosis. Thus, it is necessary to identify the pathogen that can be performed with simple means such as those required for a fresh examination of the vaginal secretion. Treatment with metronidazole is the one of choice, there not being any other alternatives having equal efficacy at present.
