The symmetry group of gradient sensitive fluids

Gradient sensitive fluids, for which there is constitutive function which depends both on the density and its spatial gradient, are seen as a special subclass of elastic materials of grade two and characterized through an appropriate symmetry group, which is explicitly described and discussed.
