On certain exact solutions of a generalized KdV-Burger type equation via symmetry approach-II

In this paper a generalized KdV-Burger type equationut+a(um)x-α(un)xx+β(up)xxx-g(x)uq=0incorporating the effect of absorption is studied using the symmetry method [Steinberg S, Technical Report No. 367, University of New Mexico, USA, 1979]. Besides for the general equation, symmetry reductions and exact solutions are reported for the porous medium equation, corresponding to the case a = 0, β = 0, and also for the dispersive equation, resulting when α = 0 and g(x) = 0.
