Stochastically stable equilibria in n-person binary coordination games

► A property of a game is either ordinal or cardinal. ► The distinction leads to new results on stochastically stable equilibria (SSE). ► The pure strategy best response structure (PSBRS) of a game is an ordinal property. ► Under the adaptive play, SSE is shown to depend crucially on PSBRS. ► Under the single population random matching, SSE may be totally insensitive to it.
