Training the non-preferred hand for fine motor control using a computer mouse

Occupational overuse syndrome is prevalent among workers who interact with computers for long sessions, especially when the mouse is the predominant input device. While seeking engineering control solutions to many of these workplace situations, ergonomists may also apply administrative controls to good effect. Sharing mouse activity between the preferred and non-preferred hands may, therefore, provide a viable injury prevention strategy to decrease the risk of unilateral mouse-related injuries.
