Anomalies at magic charge densities in under-doped La2−xSrxCuO4 superconductor crystals prepared by floating-zone method

This is a brief review about our recent years work on floating-zone growth of high-quality La2−xSrxCuO4 superconductor crystals and our observations of intrinsic anomalous superconducting properties at magic doping levels of x=1/16 and x=1/9 in the under-doped La2−xSrxCuO4 crystals. Interesting results of charge dynamics studies obtained on our crystals are also briefly discussed.
