The relationship between palpation of thoracic tissues and deep paraspinal muscle thickness

The results of this study suggest that factors other than differences in paraspinal muscle thickness are likely to account for abnormal tissue texture detected with palpation in the thoracic PVG regions of young, largely asymptomatic adults.
