Use of the Electrothermal Vessel Sealing System Versus Standard Vessel Ligation in Thyroidectomy

We found that the LigaSure(tm) was as safe as standard vessel ligation for thyroidectomy, with the benefit of reduced operating time. A future prospective study has been designed.
