Role of protein kinase C-ε (PKCε) in isoflurane-induced cardioprotection

Although isoflurane preconditioning resulted in a reduction in infarct size at all concentrations used, the protection was mediated by phosphorylation and translocation of PKCε only at 0.4 MAC.
