Chest pain appears in 3 to 36% of children and adolescents. Usually it causes serious anxiety for the patient and his family. Cardiovascular causes are responsible for 4-6% of symptoms. In this paper the author describes the most common cardiovascular causes and pathogenesis of chest pain in children and adolescents.
