Use of a tourniquet in total knee arthroplasty: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Conclusions Data from this meta-analysis indicate that patients may benefit from the use of a tourniquet in TKA; however, it use is accompanied by disadvantages and complications. Because of the very low-evidence quality and lower grading of recommendations, assessment, development, and evaluation recommendation strength, no guidelines can be developed based on current evidence.
