Additional and repeated computed tomography in interfacility trauma transfers: Room for standardization

Repeat and additional images remain a major issue in trauma transfers. Improvement requires standardization of CT protocols and change in the approach of local hospitals from “finding and requiring need level 1 trauma center” to “not missing any injuries.”
