A new synthesis of highly active Ni2P/Al2O3 catalyst by liquid phase phosphidation for deep hydrodesulfurization

►Liquid phase phosphidation (LPP) leads to formation of active Ni2P/Al2O3 catalyst. ►No extra P on Ni2P/Al2O3-LP contributed to enhanced activity in HDS. ►The LPP method promotes HDS activity of Ni2P catalyst without the formation of AlPO4.
