Evaluating the ability of Greek power stations to comply with the obligations posed by the second National Allocation Plan concerning carbon dioxide emissions

► Performance evaluation of Greek power stations under the EU ETS is undertaken. ► Per installation evaluation of CO2 production is carried out for both stages of ETS. ► Required cut-downs for power stations to comply with allowances are determined. ► Common strategies available for reduction of CO2 emissions are presented. ► Required RES capacity to confront violation of CO2 emissions is discussed.
