Additivity effects in the rheology of fresh concrete containing water-reducing admixtures

► Rheologically, fresh concrete is a Bingham material. ► Effects of ingredients are shown by plotting yield stress against plastic viscosity. ► Mix selection assumes that the vector sum of each effect is additive. ► The additivity principle is confirmed for water reduction with superplasticiser.
