The results of the analysis indicated that water-cement ratio was found to have a significant effect on UPV. The UPV was found to decrease with the increase of water cement ratio. Aggregate gradation was also found to have significant effect on UPV. In general, the larger the aggregate size used in preparing Portland cement concrete, the higher the measured velocity of ultrasonic waves. Also, UPV was found to be increased as concrete curing time increased. Concrete compressive strength was found to be significantly affected by water-cement ratio and coarse aggregate gradation. Lower water-cement ratio produced higher concrete strength. Also, the concrete compressive strength increased as maximum aggregate size decreased.
