Evaluation of a behavioral treatment package to reduce sleep problems in children with Angelman Syndrome

► With behavioral intervention, children with Angelman Syndrome quickly learned to initiate sleep independently. ► With behavioral intervention, children with Angelman Syndrome showed significant reductions in disruptive bedtime behaviors. ► With improved sleep, there were related improvements in nonsleep adaptive behaviors. ► Sleep problems in children with Angelman Syndrome can be effectively treated without medication. ► Parents found the behavioral treatment to be highly acceptable.
