Factorial validity of the Chedoke-McMaster Attitudes towards Children with Handicaps Scale (CATCH)

► The three-component model of attitudes was not found in the CATCH. ► Exploratory factor analyses revealed a single component structure. ► The revised CATCH is significantly shorter and entails seven items. ► Only affective and behavioral items were retained. ► The factor structure of the revised CATCH proves to be stable for four variables.
