Shape and size optimization of truss structures considering dynamic constraints through modern metaheuristic algorithms

► Mass optimization on shape and sizing with multiple natural frequency constraints. ► This is a highly nonlinear dynamic optimization problem. ► It is solved using recent metaheuristic algorithms: Harmony Search and Firefly. ► The results showed that both algorithms reached better results than the literature.
