Stereo matching using weighted dynamic programming on a single-direction four-connected tree

► The SDFC tree incorporates all the smoothness functions of the edges in the image. ► Conventional DP-based algorithms decrease the matching accuracy. ► Weighted dynamic programming treats all the pixels in the SDFC tree equivalently. ► The proposed algorithm not only produces very good results, but also is very efficient. ► The proposed algorithm gets quite good results in low-textured outdoor conditions.
