Micropartioning and solubilization enhancement of 1,2-bis(bis(4-chlorophenyl) methyl)diselane in mixed micelles of binary and ternary cationic-nonionic surfactant mixtures

▶ We investigated solubilization of organoselenium compounds in micellar solutions. ▶ Study furnishes complete exploration of the surfactant properties that influence solubilization. ▶ The mechanism shows selenium compound interact with surfactant through π electron clouds. ▶ The effect of slight polarity of the aromatic hydrocarbons in [(ClC6H4)2CHSe]2 has been discussed. ▶ Spectroscopic data evidenced the location of solubilizate in micellar media.
