Nanofiltration for the treatment of coke plant ammoniacal wastewaters

▶ Ammoniacal wastewaters fractionation is highly dependent on feed solution chemistry. ▶ pH dominates selective mass transport and nanofiltration rejection coefficients. ▶ For pH lower than 9.5, there is a concentration of ammonium in the concentrate. ▶ For pH higher than 9.5, the ammonium rejection coefficients drop to 10%.
