Organic-inorganic UV-cured methacrylic-based hybrids as protective coatings for different substrates

- Two O-I hybrid UV-cured methacrylic-silica based coatings were developed.
- Great enhancement in Tg was found for both hybrid systems.
- Hybrid 2 displays the highest transparency, Shore D hardness and hydrophobicity.
- All the properties analyzed remained unchanged after 12 months.
