Simulation study of artificial ocular movement with intelligent control

This paper is concerned with the designing and construction of a biomedical assistive device for ophthalmic patients to regain the natural movement of their ocular prostheses. Various aspects of the device are discussed in this paper in terms of sensor design, sensor data fusion techniques, artificial ocular actuation, control system and experimental prototype setup. Simulation and experimental study are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the device. The paper concludes with future considerations.
