Closed-loop control of vortex-induced vibration
چکیده انگلیسی
Vortex-induced vibration of a circular cylinder has been simulated two-dimensionally through the direct numerical simulation at Reynolds number Re=100 and 200. A closed-loop control algorithm developed with the introduction of Lorentz forces has been applied successfully in controlling of the vortex-induced vibration. The array of actuators which are generated by permanent magnets and electrodes located on the solid structure offer the advantage of making the Lorentz force time and space dependent. The closed-loop control algorithm is derived capable of determining at all times the intensity of the Lorentz force in order to control the vibration based on some partial flow information measured on the surface of the solid body.
