Complement C3 mediated targeting of liposomes to granulocytic myeloid derived suppressor cells

Liposomes that contain orthopyridyl disulfide groups (OPSS) form disulfide bonds with activated complement C3, which targets liposomes for uptake by granulocytic myeloid derived suppressor cells (G-MDSCs). Without the OPSS group, control-liposomes are not taken up by G-MDSCs (top panel) and are absent from the shown tissues.
