A gold nanoparticle-linked glycoconjugate vaccine against Burkholderia mallei

We describe a novel method for generating vaccines on the surface of gold nanoparticles. In this report we have linked two different vaccine components, a protein and a polysaccharide, onto the nanoparticles. Studies in mice showed that by linking these components onto gold nanoparticles we improved the effectiveness of the vaccine.71
