Nano-enabled drug delivery: A research profile

As an emerging scientific and medical field, nano-enabled drug delivery (“NEDD”) systems have drawn great attention in recent years. The global publication and patent databases available today provide a reservoir of information on research activities. Profiling R&D search results can help researchers understand the status and developmental prospects of this area. In this paper, we present a process to allow for smart extraction of information from these databases. This process incorporates in-depth analysis of NEDD literature review papers to identify key subsystems, major topics, topical trends and collaborative patterns.72
