Squalenoyl gemcitabine nanomedicine overcomes the low efficacy of gemcitabine therapy in pancreatic cancer

Gemcitabine nanomedicine formulation for pancreatic cancer therapy. The SQ-Gem nanoparticles were prepared by spontaneous nanoassemblies precipitation of conjugated squalene-gemcitabine in aqueous 5% Dextrose solution. Following the structure and properties determination, preparations of SQ-Gem nanoparticles were used to evaluate their antitumor activity compared to native gemcitabine, on different pancreatic tumor models.84
