Consistency of reporting sexual and physical abuse during psychological treatment of personality disorder: An explorative study

► Most patients reported the same instances of abuse at baseline and 12 month follow-up. ► Treatment with abuse-related imagery did not result in less consistent abuse reports. ► A depressive episode at baseline was characteristic of decreasing abuse reporters. ► A decreased memory specificity for negative events was also characteristic of decreasing abuse reporters. ► In particular schizotypal traits were characteristic of increasing abuse reporters.
