Production and perception of contralateral reaching: A close link by 12 months of age

► We tested action production and perception in infants using contralateral reaching. ► Both tasks focussed on anticipatory components and were highly comparable. ► A link between action production and perception was only present in older infants. ► To establish a common representation, experience is necessary.
