Direction counts: A comparative study of spatially directional counting biases in cultures with different reading directions
چکیده انگلیسی
► We first observed a clear relationship between reading and counting directions. ► We then recorded directional counting preferences even before reading acquisition. ► Culture-specific counting biases were subsequently modified by early reading experience. ► We describe the developmental trajectory of number-space associations from early childhood to adulthood.
