Diffusion tensor imaging correlates of reading ability in dysfluent and non-impaired readers

► Brain white matter structure correlates of reading are studied in a large sample. ► Positive correlations were found between fractional anisotropy and reading ability. ► Structure-function relationships were focused in bilateral frontal regions. ► Correlations were most extensive for word reading, and most focused for fluency.
