The biomechanical effects of a new design of lateral wedge insole on the knee and ankle during walking

► We compare biomechanically two lateral wedge insoles used in knee osteoarthritis. ► Both insoles reduced knee loading compared to a control condition. ► The insole with the medial support reduced ankle eversion and was most comfortable. ► The new design could increase patient adherence in clinical trials.
