Reversal of the face-inversion effect in N170 under unconscious visual processing

► The ERP amplitude to inverted faces was higher than upright faces. ► We tested whether this relationship was also applicable to invisible face images. ► Invisible inverted faces induced weaker responses than invisible upright faces. ► Our study shows a reversal of neural face inversion effect in unconscious processing.
