Conjunctive Continuous Performance Task (CCPT)-A pure measure of sustained attention

► Two versions of a new CPT which minimizes non-attentional components were investigated. ► We established that the new task is a valid measure of sustained attention. ► High convergent and divergent validity were obtained for the new task. ► Independent of sensory modality the CCPT taps the same stable construct - sustained attention. ► The CCPT is a constructive tool to assess attention deficits.
