Rapid amygdala gamma oscillations in response to fearful facial expressions

▶ We analyzed the intracranial field potentials of the amygdala for facial expressions. ▶ The amygdala showed activation to fearful versus neutral expressions at 50-150 ms. ▶ Amygdala activity related to fearful expression processing was in the gamma band.
