Temporal variations of long-term correlations in seismic activity fluctuations

► The scaling behavior of seismicity in southern Mexico was studied with DFA. ► Inter-seismic periods are weakly correlated for small time scales. ► The presence of a quasi-biennial cycle in the seismicity correlations was detected.
