Brownian particles with long- and short-range interactions

► We develop a hydrodynamics of Brownian particles with long and short range interactions. ► We consider overdamped and inertial models. ► Short-range interactions lead to a pressure term in the macroscopic equations. ► Similar macroscopic equations are obtained from a notion of generalized thermodynamics.
