The origin of power-law emergent scaling in large binary networks

► The macroscopic conduction properties of large binary networks is studied. ► The effect of network size and the proportion of the components is investigated. ► A new spectral derivation for the conduction is used along with averaging schemes. ► Excellent agreement is found with numerical simulations of the system. ► This explains both the percolation limits and the emergent power-law behaviour.
