► We study epidemic dynamics behavior in some bus transport networks (BTNs). ► We use the SIS model theory to analyze epidemic dynamics of the BTNs. ► We provide the following possible forecasts in actual BTNs. ► An actual BTN should have a finite positive epidemic threshold.
