Neonatal EEG signal characteristics using time frequency analysis

► In this paper we discussed using timefrequency analysis (TF) the visualization of neonatal EEG signals. ► Among many kernels used, we found ChoiWilliams & Modified Bdistribution are the most suitable for EEG analysis. ► Different background states show different timefrequency compositions. ► Normal EEG background states show no obvious pattern in the timefrequency domain.
